This was used for small children who are still learning to write.

Starts with a slow reveal animals game. Students can shout the word.

Next, eight animals are shown. Students can identify them as teacher points at the pictures. Pictures are then replaced with words, with students continuing to read the words.

3 colour pen board race:
Teacher writes up the names of each of the animals numbered 1-8 on the whiteboard and draws a three columned table and puts students into three teams.
Teacher shows a picture of an animal in power point. Students identify the word on the whiteboard.
A student from each team stands with his/her back to the whiteboard. Teacher throws a red, blue and black marker across the floor. Students collect and write the word on the whiteboard.
Scores for the colour of pen used are shown in power point by pressing the space bar.
