4.1 - Four Corners Game:  Designate the four corners of the classroom before starting.  Students pick a corner and the teacher asks each corner, "Who is he/she?"  Students respond, "He/She is a ____."  After asking all the corners, reveal the bomb(s).  You can play this many ways, with the students in the bomb corners being out, but usually I just have the corners that survived get a point.  The person who has the most points at the end of the game gets a reward.

4.2 - Connect Four Game:  Just edited a connect four template that has been floating around.  Split class into two teams.  Students have to say a sentence (he is a firefighter) in order to place their teams chips in the box they want.

4.2 - Pirates of the Classroom:  To pick a square, students say two sentences.  "She/he is my ____."  "She/he is a _____."  On the "fight" slides, there is a picture of one of the words (firefighter, singer, doctor).  I have one student from each team come to the front and when they see the picture, they have to make a sentence.  The first person to make a correct sentence wins the points for their team.

-Intro PPT for period 1. I used the Simpsons to introduce family members so I decided to keep using the Simpsons since this chapter involves family members as well :)

- Pokemon Speaking Game: If you've ever used Pirates of the classroom it's played the exact same way (credit to the Pirates of the classroom creator for the idea!). Have students make two sentences. She/He is my ________. She/he is a ________. Then click on the corresponding Pokeball to see points.

-Intro PPT for part 3.  Includes a "floating letters" activity (credit to creator) where letters fall into the screen and students have to unscramble them to make a word. Also includes a short section for the Sounds and Letters. Students are shown a picture. They then have to guess whether the word ends in "K" or "G".

-Kakao Bomb Game (Credit to the original creator for template!)

-Read and Talk section for period 3 PPT. You can use this in place of the book or just for extra practice :) It's Incredible's family themed. This is my attempt to liven up the book a bit.

Thanks a lot for posting this, I've never seen it before but all my students love pokemon so I'm sure they'll enjoy this game. It's also nice to have some variety too!
