LISTEN AND TALK (PART 2)
A line bingo game to review the expressions: (A) What's your favourite _______? (B) My favourite ___ is ____.
How to play:
(1) As a class, brainstorm a list for 6-8 favourites categories (ie. food, colours, sports, etc.).
(2) Then, give each students a strip of paper that they are to divide up into 6-8 sections. The sections are the categories that you came up with as a class.
(3) For each section/category, students pick their favourites from the list on the board.
(4) After, play some music and pass a ball around the class. When the music stops, whoever has the ball answers the question, "What's your favourite ____?" The students must only answer with their favourites from the ends of their paper strips (so, as the teacher, aim to ask for whatever category they have on their ends).
(6) Students, including the speaking student, who have the same answer get to rip that section of their strips off. WINNER is the first student to rip up all their sections.
FILLER LESSON
Students listen to the Sound of Music's song, "My Favourite Things" and fill out a worksheet.
