Just some vocab puzzles for time fillers~~~ When in doubt, throw a puzzle at 'em!

Both puzzles have word scrambles with Hangul translation matching at the bottom, and answer keys on page 2.

*********I use a lot of KG Miss Kindergarten and KG blank space solid on my worksheets, so I've attached those fonts as well to keep the files from looking insane due to lack of the original font.

This is for Listen & Talk 2.

I go through the textbook doing A,B & then have the kids practice C - I don't play the game in the book.

Then I give the kids each a small form and have them fill out their form with their favorites. Afterward, we create their superhero names for the game.

Normally by this time, there's only enough time to play the game once but there is another superhero name creator in the ppt.

To play the game

1) They have to ask "What's your name?" and use the superhero name and write this down.
2) Then they ask "What's your favorite _____" and write this down next to the name.

The person with the most names wins.

I will also make my own and join in with the kids, that way I can make the kids not participating talk.

This is for Lesson 1 Listen & Talk 1 in Judy Yin 2017.

It's just a simple activity for the kids to see what kind of vocab they have and to hopefully get them thinking outside of the box.

This was a weird phrase and I didn't like it but hopefully, this helps someone!

LISTEN AND TALK (PART 1)

A bomb game to review the expressions: (A) Hello! I'm _______. (B) Nice to meet you.

How to play: Students go against a ticking bomb, while standing up and saying the sentence shown on the PPT. When the bomb goes off, whoever it goes off on is OUT. The students who are OUT need to put their heads down (pretend to be dead).

This was a hit with the majority of my classes. The bomb kind of stresses them out and it's always hilarious when they get bombed ><

LISTEN AND TALK (PART 2)

A line bingo game to review the expressions: (A) What's your favourite _______? (B) My favourite ___ is ____.

How to play:
(1) As a class, brainstorm a list for 6-8 favourites categories (ie. food, colours, sports, etc.).
(2) Then, give each students a strip of paper that they are to divide up into 6-8 sections. The sections are the categories that you came up with as a class.
(3) For each section/category, students pick their favourites from the list on the board.
(4) After, play some music and pass a ball around the class. When the music stops, whoever has the ball answers the question, "What's your favourite ____?" The students must only answer with their favourites from the ends of their paper strips (so, as the teacher, aim to ask for whatever category they have on their ends).
(6) Students, including the speaking student, who have the same answer get to rip that section of their strips off. WINNER is the first student to rip up all their sections.

FILLER LESSON

Students listen to the Sound of Music's song, "My Favourite Things" and fill out a worksheet.
