One thing to possibly note is how the UK and England aren't the same. Students and likely coteachers will use them interchangably since they have one Korean word that they use for both. Might be a good addition, but YMMV.

I make sure to do this for my English brothers and sisters, as I get pretty anoyed when people call the U.S.A. "America".

I made a PPT with twelve of my friends pics (just downloaded from facebook), all from diff countries.

Gave them 4 choices of where they're from for each slide. They have to guess correctly. I'm using this for 2nd period speaking.

Good way to introduce "He is/She is," too for expanding on I'm from

I don't pay fr waygook and I canattach this anyway cuz they're MY friends so there's no point. hahaha

My co teacher asked me to make a worksheet for the students to practice writing country names. This section is more about reading and writing as with the previous parts of the lesson the kids should have practiced the speaking part of saying: "Where are you from," "I'm from..." etc. My worksheet is very simple but yeah hope it helps. It has fill in the blank, rote writing, and matching.

Totally with you. I didn't put the US as "America", although I refer to myself as American on occasion.

Lucky Flag Game

*Use the cards from the line bingo game (in the back of the book)

Ample opportunity to practice the key phrases with other students... they ask and answer with a friend, and then change roles.

Click on the running mouse to start the timer..
The alarm is often hard to hear with all the dialogue practice going on, so I also use my class bell to signal that it's time to stop!

I play it as a partner-team game, which gives them more chances to win some points... can also play in groups of 4.
However, students don't have to walk around with their partner or group... they set out solo, and when the alarm goes off, they go back to their seat and check their flags with their partner/group.

Also, I give points per lucky flag..
aka, if at the end of a round a partner-team has 3 Korea flags, and the lucky flag that round is Korea & 3 points.. that team will get 9 points for that particular round.
