Hey there everyone, hope the year is going well! This is my first posted lesson plan, and I hope it helps someone...
I teach 1st Grade High School with VERY mixed abilities. This worked with all but my very lowest of students, whom I didn't attempt it with.
This lesson has been adapted from a few others. Many thanks to the original posters.
Lesson Plan:5 min: Warm Up. I use Dingbats/Whats the Word. Attached.
10 min PPT: Open PersonalityPPT
5 min Videos: When it gets to the slide "Watch the Video", hand out "PersonalityVocabHan
dOut". I have made it so it can be cut in half. I let 2 students share one.
Open this:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B6aYhZ0okd2YWk00MThQc1Jjem8?usp=sharing(clips 1,2,3,4,5 in order.) After each clip, elicit from students "what personality types do you see..."
For the clips, only play a certain amount:
Clip 1: 0:00-0:54 (Mean, Confident, Outgoing...)
Clip 2: 0:00-1:01 (Lazy)
Clip 3: All (Smart, Kind...)
Clip 4: All (Kind, Creative, Generous, Smart..)
Clip 5: 0:43-0:55 (Shy)
25-30 min: Hand out "PersonalityQuiz" papers, follow along on the PPT. I had a few students tell me their answers before we moved on to the next quiz.
3ish min: Wrap up
Best of Luck!
P.S. - I made the PPT on a Powerpoint 2016 computer, so if you edit/save the PPT in an older version, some aspects may be modified.
EDIT: I've added the Clips as .mp4, if the googledrive link does not work for you
