I just played Monkey in the middle with 5th and 6th graders using the cards in the textbook - each student should take about 5 cards for whatever chapter you are reviewing (it needs to be at least half of the cards that they have) and then make a circle with chairs, one for each student.  Number the students for two teams and tell them that they have to remember which team they are on. Place five marks on the board for each team (This is a counting down game)  Remove one chair. Then use the vocabulary that you are practicing.  For instance, Grade 5 just finished "What a Tall Tower"  Tell them to all to quickly sit down and 1 student will be left standing.  I told the student "Look over there" and she picked one of her cards in her hand and said "It's a beautiful bird"  All of the students who had that card had to get up and change seats.  The last one standing is the next monkey in the middle and a point is removed from that teams score.  If two students try to sit on the same chair play "Rock paper scissors"  Depending on the size of your class you could have two students in the middle and then everyone has to listen for two different cards.  The first team to lose all their point, loses the game.  My students could play this all afternoon if I would let them.
"The Bhagavad Gita - that ancient Indian Yogic text - says that it is better to live your own destiny imperfectly than to live an imitation of somebody else's life with perfection. So now I have started living my own life." Elizabeth Gilbert

Feel free to change anything you want. Hope this can help some of you out there if you  need it.

Updated version including lesson 6 and 7
I left the Final Jeopardy option on the ppt just in case someone wanted to use that.
Good luck..

I compiled this PPT for my kids to review for the Busan wide test this month (June 30th) on lessons 4-7.   I pulled different slides from different PPT's I'd found on here!

Feel free to use it in your classes!  It took 40 minutes of classtime this morning, and was a great review for them!

Hi

This is my very first post but I though I would share a PPT I made. Very very simple, when reviewing all of the dialogues and lessons with my fifth graders I would stop and ask them questions from the PPT. The questions are about each dialogue from the CD ROM. I split the students up into groups and gave them a whiteboard to write on. They would read the questions, I allow ten seconds for them to write the answers down and then they hold up their whiteboards and show me their answers. I then reveal the correct answers and award points to each group. As they have exams next week, I figured this might be a better way for them to do some revision. Take a look at the PPT.

Hello everyone!

Here is a great jeopardy review game that I've been using for a couple years now.  I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I have.  This is a 2 part game.  I will upload double jeopardy later this week.

Here is a bomb game that will help the kids to revise for their exam. To listen to the songs click on the teddy bear and to watch the video click on the popcorn,

Obviously you will want to change the pictures. To make the "talking heads" go to

http://fotoflexer.com/

and upload your photo. Click the "Geek" tab and click smart sciccsors, then cut out what you want. Then click "save as" and choose the "save as png" option so that the photo does not have any background.

Pass the Ball review game for chapters 12 to 15. Mix-mash of half a dozen previous PPTs uploaded by others, so the usual thanks goes to them.
