Rules for Koreans (Hogwan Requirements)
« on: September 25, 2022, 08:14:37 am »
I have a Korean friend who wants to work in a hogwan. He only has an associates degree. Do you guys know the legal requirements for Korean citizens looking for work in English academies? Thanks.

Never mind. I found a link.

Graduating from  a junior college is an associates degree, right?

Yes it is.

It's why I always call it a hakwon as it's spelled in Hangeul.  Though I never bothered anyone else for their misspelling of the word.
I still never got any previous warnings to make me muted.  I never got any reason for being muted.  I guess the moderators of this site are just fat loser assholes who do as they feel.  Just because they feel like it or were losing an argument.  Dumbass morons!!!

Yes that's because it's right. Maybe you should bother people. IIRC kengreen spent years and years in Korea and is/was married to a local, although he eventually moved to China. Hogwan/hakwon would be like living in the US for 20 years and still getting basic words wrong. In an idle moment it's worthy of ridicule.

Irregardless, I could care less that their is miss takes.

I am a smile drowning in tears
I am the silence at the end of your journey

What happened to that filthy beast blog? It's the only Korean life blog that I found pretty amusing. Every day Ken would go into detail about how laborious his morning shit was or which acquaintance or colleague he was thinking of in his lengthy morning shower

i think he was just using it to hock his book.  i imagine that proved fruitless eventually and he gave up the blog.  I too loved to read the blog,  but couldnt be arsed to support the book

I think you've already hit the nail on the head with this. Similar circumstances. The use of "Hog" is deliberate.

I also suspect the ludicrous mispronunciation of English on TV shows is another way of expressing this frustration.

Dunno if you saw, but I threw this up on the Star Trek thread.

Eating Jumja Sticks on Deep Space Nine

Yesterday my wife Jadzia made gagh for dinner. The worms were very good and very fresh. I'm a huge fan of gagh, it's very filling. I washed the vittles down with several glasses of prune juice. Prune juice is my favorite human drink. It is a warrior's drink.

I went to the holosuite and activated Klingon Calisthenics Program #34. The simulated Nausicaans are a formidable challenge. Combat was primarily with the d'k tahg, although at the higher a levels, a bat'leth was necessary. I advanced to level 27 until the Ferengi informed me that my allotted time was finished. It was glorious.

I paid homage to Kahless the Unforgettable. I sang The Warrior's Anthem with puffed out chest. No big surprise. I'm not some filthy Romulan. I thanked Kahless for many battles in my life. For instance, its nice to transport aboard a Jem'Hadar attack cruiser and slay their First. Lots of people aren't so fortunate. They lack a warrior's spirit. I'm just glad I wasn't born on Betazed.

I went to bed at 2200 hours. I dreamed of of the time every character on the holodeck turned into Lt. Commander Data. It was most...bizarre.

I woke up at 0600 hours and drank a freshly replicated raktajino. Then I read the daily briefing. Constable Odo reported 3 cases of theft on the Promenade, including one incident at the Bajoran Shrine. Only one of the perpetrators has been caught so far. I doubt his punishment will be severe. The Federation is very lenient when it comes to crime.

I turned on the Federation News Service. The Federation media is criticizing Kai Winn for her proposal to ban any Cardassians from emigrating to Bajor. Recently a Cardassian spy was apprehended while attempting to damage the Wormhole. Kai Winn is merely pointing out the obvious that Cardassians are known spies and saboteurs. The Federation accused her of racism. I do not understand humans sometimes.

Anyways, my torpedo tubes are empty. Today is a good day to die.

Nah, we all misspell words sometimes.  So, I don't really bother people on that stuff unless it's excessive.
