There is an episode of the Simpsons on Pandora tv website called "tall tales" that has the simpsons versions of some American folk tales if you wanted to show a bit of video with this lesson. It has Korean subtitles and one of the parts is with Lisa as Johnny Appleseed. Have been showing it to my highschool boys' class as a bit of time filler lately, they've gotten a kick out of it without any of the background folk tale info.

If your textbook is "Middle School English" with lesson 3 being "Folktales from Around the World" I have an activity that I just used for the Grammar in use section that was quite fun (and easy. I promised them easy after we had a hard lesson last week).

Here it is, if anyone wants it. It is a spot the differences activity, but I made it English oriented by having them point of the differences by using the grammar structures from the textbook. Very low tech, which is good, because I have none!

I forgot to say that I was only able to find 19, so I drew in a 20th difference. And that I wrote in examples of the sentence structure before photocopying so that they would at least make a few sentences using "who", "which", and the different quantities on pg 48. I also outlined these sentences in the warmup activity.

If you're looking for 'any' short videos, you should find the Pixar animation shorts as a lot of them don't have much conversation and tell a story entirely through the animation.

Ones that I've used are "For the Birds", "One Man Band", "Lifted", "Geri's game" and "Presto".
