After School Class: Superheroes

Hi guys!  Here's another after school class I drew up.  A lot of the ideas I got from other superhero lessons, so by no means am I the sole creator of this lesson.  Basically go through superhero vocabulary such as special powers, villain, nemesis etc. etc., then had them create their own superhero, and finally play a game of Superpower Charades (using the super power flashcards ppt). 

Oh, and to all you comic book fans, I kept it only to DC and Marvel, since I didn't want to get them into stuff like Hellboy or Dark Horse stuff.  Forgive me if some of the geeky superhero factoids are incorrect (sorry, I have a life outside of comic books hah hah)

That's pretty cool, but is out of the range of most of my Elementary kids - It'd be awesome for Middle school or even some High School kids though.

I designed a similar lesson a few weeks back around "He/She can..." and "He/She wears...." + vocab) with Make a Superhero handout, custom bomb game, and the  DC Animated movie "Justice League: Crisis of Two Earths" (with Korean subs, thanks to my girlfriend). I have free reign every Thursday with my Grade 4-5-6 kids, so I've been metering out the fun once a week with that. ;)

I'll post everything in this thread once I have a chance to use the Bomb game -- just want to make sure there's no rough edges. :)

Yeah this was designed for Middle-school and maaaybe high school.  Elementary wouldn't be able to understand this one.

I did it with 5-6th grade and they loved it.  Just show them tons of pictures and make up one on the board with them.  :)

Seems like it could definitely work with an elementary school class, great idea!
