--Note-- If you have trouble opening the ppts, try it from a different computer and/or add this website as exception in your firewall setting:  www.esolers.org --

These adjective activities created for 4th Grade work also with Grade 3 Lesson 7 It's Big.

For the bomb games - be sure to check them carefully:  They might include words and images from earlier chapters/lessons I've done with my classes.

These are items related to Grade 4 Lesson 4 “How old are you?”  Grade 5 Lesson 4 “What a nice day!” and Grade 3 Lesson 7 "It's Big"

Using the cookie monster template, I created a game using the key vocabulary words in this unit.  It also includes questions from Unit 6 - Do you like?.

I hope it is useful.

I thought I posted this already, but can not find it.

Here is a cookie monster game I edited to fit this unit.  I had some trouble with the hyperlinking, but have seemed to fix it.  I hope so, anyway.

Enjoy.

Basic board game in black & white for Lesson 7 "It's Big". We have already done lesson 12 "How Many Flowers" so there are kangaroos and lions on the board. If you haven't done this unit you might want to take the word doc and change the pics in those boxes (or just leave them blank).

We played it with kids in pairs and they had to use the target language to go forward.

Student 1: Look at that!
Student 2: It's a lion. It's big. / It's an egg. It's small.

Etc. Kids love board games so they enjoyed it, even though it was pretty simple.

Hands - You and the children can outline your hands and color them in. Once you have completed that, place your drawing up against one or more of theirs and ask them which is big and which is little.

 - I got that from: http://www.brighthub.com/education/early-childhood/articles/40854.aspx

There's a few other ones, different sized blocks, balls, ovbiously animals in pictures.
