I'm doing a conversation class on families. I wanted something a little edgy to keep my students interests, so I went with the Simpsons for my theme. I also like that I was able to go beyond the standard: grandparents, parents, and siblings. Using the  Simpsons I am also able to incorporate Uncle, Aunt,twins,adoption, and pets. Let me know what you think. 

Pandora has Simpsons episodes with Korean subtitles. Of course Korean students will miss a lot of the funny, cultural references, but it is fun times nonetheless.

I've added some changes to the Simpsons presentation and worksheet above and corrected a couple of errors in it.  It works really well with my low-to-intermediate level middle school students (1st grade middle school low level and half of an upper-intermediate after-school class).  If you want to adapt it for more advanced students, you can add more advanced family relations ("great-" prefix, second cousin, etc.).  I used the beginning slides to review appearance adjectives.
