Thanks Rhetorical! I've removed all embedded media and replaced them with links to YouTube. Just click the applicable image. I've also added a PPT version for those of you who do not have the newer version of Office.

Thanks for this! I am going to use the ppt for my 2nd Grade Lesson 5 textbook by Christian Kim. It is all about sports so this is PERFECT timing.

For some reason the mario game wasn't working properly for me...not really sure why. But it's ok! Because I've been dying to try out the Starcraft game template. Soooooooooooo, I basically took all of your questions and put them in the Starcraft template. The questions were only able to do Round 1 of the game. I did add some questions about the dialogue to questions 1-7 for round 2 just in case I had some extra time to fill or needed a tie breaker.

Thanks a bunch!!

So i used this yesterday with my Senior class....it went really well!!! The students loved the lesson and the activities!!! They grasped the vocab very well and loved the videos....we ended up watching all 4 at the end!!!

The guessing the sport game was really good, it was nice to see them thinking and putting the clues together!!!

Thanks for a great lesson!!!

Really fantastic. This is exactly the kind of thing I'd love to teach. Thank you!

I have to say also that I really agree with you about your philosophy of teaching here. I think being encouraging, bringing out students' confidence, and creating a desire to learn English is the most important thing we can do as teachers in Korea.

Excellent lesson!

I just thought I'd mention that on the slide that you have to figure out "Kite Surfing" There is one too many spaces.

Thanks again!  :)

This is amazing.  Thank you so much for this Leo!  Extreme sports go over pretty well with the kids because I doubt most of them would ever try out some of the sports.

I don't know if you are tired of getting these messages, but hear's another one:  Thanks for this lesson.  I was able to make it last for two weeks and my students paid attention even though it was the last two weeks before break.  I was also able to give the lesson to my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students without much altering.

A great lesson and I will try to use this power point and lesson as par for my teaching.

Thanks Apple, but to be perfectly transparent regarding the quality of this lesson, it is exceptional relative to my regular lessons. I could not possibly maintain this level of quality every week, at least with regard to the refinement of the aesthetics. I definitely learned a lot from making this lesson, but it'd be difficult to emulate this kind of engagement every time for me.

Perhaps you should think about selling PowerPoints in the future.  These PowerPoints are exceptional and much better than much of the commercial ESL teacher aid PowerPoints on the market.
Not everybody has the patience and the time to invest in making quality lessons, however the extra effort really manifests itself in increased student participation and motivation to learn.
