Starcraft PPT game With I can.... I can't.......,small intro PPT and some videos all lifted from other posters with some changes made and thanks given. (And good god the videos on the CD that came with the book are unbelievably bad, me and the kids just laugh at them, whoever makes these books needs to consider a change of profession, anyone got the Sponge Bob game template with all the sounds on it, I'd appreciate a link or post)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GA6dKNsl6zk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a91oTyA0Oq8

A powerpoint I put together to introduce this lesson. It has a link to a fantastic song called 'Can You? Can you?'. I used this song for my kids last year and they love it.

This PP is designed as an intro for the textbook material. Hope you enjoy.

P.S: Just updated it to incorporate the "pumpkin's" youtube vid too, as an introductory listening activity to get the student's attention on the lesson focus.

This Starcraft game is perhaps the most money game I have ever seen on here. Well, well done, and thanks for the help! Did you have trouble splitting the teams up? Most of the games are for four groups, and so are the seating arrangements in my school. Thanks though, this is great!

The star-craft game is brilliant, it was made by Shane, one of the main mods on this site, I just changed the questions, I find youtube really slow in Korea so I download the movies using freeyoutubedownload er in WMV format and embed into my PPT I have done this for the 'I can, can't' song and have linked it here if you need it, it's a cute song and thanks to the above poster for it.

Really taking it to the next level with this particular star craft game. The kids are never going to be able to look back. Delete original bomb game now.
This game is balling like a pro!

Here is a good pass the ball game I made.  My kids really like these games!  1 student with ball asks question, the rest of the group answers.

Here's a word search(scramble) worksheet...

It isn't too hard.

I think most children do this with ease and enjoyable...

I have included here a vocabulary ppt (incl. spelling), 2nd period review, and a matching game. Hopefully you can use these for the 2012 school year.

Minor edit of ToddT's matching game to have a sentence making X and Y axis to make the kids use sentences to pick the sheep. Alphabet buttons still click like before.

A really simple game I played and involved everyone was "English Baseball".

Use laminated flashcards and put them on the board with magnets. In three categories, First Base, Second Base, Third Base. Students throw a wet tissue onto the board and then if it lands on a flash card they ask the class about that action. (Ex: Can you swim, then the class answers) Can you swim was under the 1st Category so the student got onto first base. The next student in the team throws the tissue, if they land it on a flashcard, then move the runner to the next base and so on. Team with the most runs wins.

You must designate a spot for students to stand when they throw!

I spent about 20 minutes of class time on it. I had 6 teams, and each student got to throw the tissue two times. The first round I would help them with their actions/sentences, the second round I would not. If they could not produce the sentence, their team didn't get those base runs.
