My ppt for this lesson. Will also be doing a worksheet with them where they will be practicing the vocabulary. For the second part off my lesson next week I will be showing them pictures from the book Where's Wally and then doing the In Conversation part with the vocab.

Hope this can help someone.

Thanks for the slides everyone! I am combining some of the ppts here and also playing "I spy" with my girls. IE: I spy something blue...I spy something red...I spy something plaid...I spy something girls wear...what do I spy? A skirt uniform! Etc...get the girls engaged!

Hey guys - I'm doing this activity as a closing for the communication task - basically they have to do the same as Step 2 (Choose a person in the picture and the student asks questions to find out who he / she is) but with a "Where's wally" picture.  I made it a bit easier, by putting a grid on the picture, so the student can tell their partner in which block it is, e.g. A3 or B2 or whatever...  The scene is in a shopping area.  PS: Wally is in A1 right above the line between A1 & A2... in case you want to give a prize to someone who actually finds wally... :)

Here is also a ppt that I'm going to use for review before doing the communication task in the text book.  (You can delete the first and last slide).

In the ppt:
*Review some sentences from the communication parts of the text book
*  I spy game (students can continue this in teams) - they do the same as in the communication task - just an "easier" one.

I'm also attaching the I SPY picture and the Where's Wally picture (from my previous post) if any one wants to use them to make worksheets etc.

Have fun!

I have not used this lesson yet but here's the "jist": review vocabulary for both physical and behavioural descriptors of animals. Provide the students with the accompanying worksheet and have them fill it in as you discuss. Once the students have completed this practice show them a variety of animals and have them describe. There's an additional activity at the end if time remains.

nice work hudson - frankly the best PPT I have seen on here - I don't think I'll change hardly anything. Some of the content is a bit tough for my low level kids (high maintenance etc) but my high level kids will scream with delight at this!

AMAZING

Hudson, great Power Point. What movie did you use for the worksheet? Maybe I am just missing it.

I wrote up a work sheet for them to do as we go through the lesson Hudson wrote... Just so that they write the words as well as hearing and saying them.

Hey guys, here's a board game used for the present continuous tense part of the lesson.  It also has some pet related activities on it so it would be really good to use for this lesson. Make sure you have some dice ready for this one since he number on the dice determines the subject and 'to be' verb. I'm sure it could take your students a good 15 minutes to complete. Enjoy!
