Simple lesson with an acting game at the end.  I tried cutting up the dialogue and having them resort it at their desks.  Didn't work.  You can try it; good luck.

i like this a lot - my kids r low level so i may edit the powerpoint a touch to make it easier for them...

ps i think getting them to act out the chore and then having the class guess what chore it is is an awesome idea - charades or watever?

I had a bunch of youtube videos of solar powered houses, co2 powered cars and algae for energy. The kids loved it.

Here's a quick Flick game, not sure what it's called.  I used the dialogs / sentences from the communication task. 

In pairs, students have to "flick" a marker (I use those big round magnets) from the middle circle onto the grid.  They have to do the dialog according to the picture.


 E.x:
A picture of a house & lock with a big X =
A:  Did you lock the door?
B: No I didn't. 
A: Don't forget to lock the door next time. 
B:I wont.

If they can make the sentences they get the points allocated in each block (the higher up they shoot the bigger the points, but if they shoot the marker out of the grid they miss a turn)  - They start in the circle every time.

i put some pictures in this concentration game, i'm going to use it at the beginning of class to review/learn the different activites for this lesson like lock the door, wash the dishes, etc

Here's a ppt game where my wife is telling me - Don't forget to "salasalasala". I had the kids in teams, the first 4 to solve the picture riddle got a point, then we all repeated it together.

I took out all the pictures of me and my wife, so you'll have to add yourself, your students, or whoever.
