Looking forward to trying the lesson when I can dowload from here - in the meantime, a little additional activity I've been using for this chapter is getting some interesting or strange (nothing too wierd) off the internet and then having the kids talk about them.
I use the prompt "What do you think of this" followed with the stem "I think..." and then some adjectives like "ugly, beautiful, big, unfair" etc.
It works well with the lower level second graders.
