Alphabet Attack is a speaking game based off of battleship.  Instead of having students draw ships, I have students draw a letter of the alphabet using the squares.  Then they play the game just as they would battleship.

Students keep track of their hits and misses on a smaller "Friend's Board" next to their own board.  For misses, they can draw an X.  For hits, they can shade in the square.  The game is over when they can guess their friend's letter, or whenever you say it is!

Here are two examples.  The first I used to practice tag questions in middle school.  The second was to practice general questions for third and fourth grade elementary school students.  I always print my worksheets two sheets to a page to save paper, so they are formatted for that.
