For full effect, move the food pictures on bomb slides - to the back!  The explosion will then go over the whole screen.

Don't want to put a downer on this thread but I wouldn't be spending too much time playing "bomb" games. I mean the only use I can see with this particular one anyway is as a vocabulary builder. How about trying to get the students to actually communicate?

I think this is a great game, thanks for sharing it! Do you mind explaining how to play it?

I also agree with creeper1's comment that students aren't communicating through this game. Should we be playing this for the whole class or how can we modify so the students are practising key phrases from the textbooks?

I have not downloaded this particular bomb game from this thread, but have on others. If the students levels are high enough make the game task oriented. Have teams create as many sentences with the words "eggs and bacon" or have teams create skits with the word watermelon, adapt the game to fit your purpose. In the end they are hopefully speaking English, it's gravy if you can get them to communicate and use it contextually. Have fun!

hmm, maybe I will use this. I taught out of the terrible 2nd grade yellow book today for almost the entire 45 minute period. It was a painful flop. SO BORED. Them and me, both.  :-[

Afterwards, my supervising co-teacher told me that I should rush through the book and have a more fun and engaging activity. I need an emergency supplementary activity and this might do the trick. If only I had ppt on my home computer.

Can somebody please explain the rules of the game? Will it kill about 20 minutes of class time?
I'll plan something better next time.
