Korean vs. Canada
« on: September 18, 2011, 01:20:56 PM »
Showed two videos on tourism-One for Korea, one for Canada

I also made up 6 clues for the animals as I thought the Ss might have difficulty placing them into a category

Ss had to watch both videos and look for: Animals, Money, Seasons and Sports

Then in thier groups they where given a worksheet and had to figure out what belonged to Korea and what belonged to Canada. They also had a runner go up and read the clues around the classroom and come back to table and report what they read (good exercise in speaking and listening)

Ss then organized all items that where different into proper colum and then what was the same about both countries in other colum.

Do you have that worksheet and the 6 clues for the animals?

Also, the first page in the PPT, is that for a running dictation game?

Interesting game for sure to play. I'm from Canada, so it would be good if I tried this out

Some of you might want to check out this out if you want to teach your students about Canada. Canada Day / Canada Lesson! (middle school) I know Canada day has passed, but it's still a useful lesson.
