Bomb game for this lesson (adapted from another bomb game I got on here somewhere). Groups pick a question and answer to choose a '?' to get points. I included a new phrase (No, I don't like it.) that I taught them to add another line of points.

Here's some translation review of all the lessons up to now.  Makes for a good opener.

There are a couple mistakes in there (probably more).  It's a good reminder to the students that making mistakes is OKAY!

Here are the two PPT presentations I used in the first and second lesson to introduce "Let us/Let's".  My students enjo

The last file is the World and Me (pg. 98) presentation I prepared for hand gestures.  The kids thought it was interesting and it provides more visual references than just the awful book illustration.

the bomb game went down a treat we i even played it the end because the kids were so excited, they loved it when they stole points from other team.

I also played another game which really got them going. Its called find the letters and what happens is teacher shouts out the alphabets and working in pairs they have to find the letters as quick as possible and with a different colour pen they circle the ones they fin. The student with most circles wins the game.

Just a note to people who want to use the World and Me PPT, as an Australian I am pretty certain that thumbs up is not an insult. If it is I have been insulting people all over the place for a long time!  :)

Apologies. Many websites had conflicting information so I just pulled Australia from one website because my kids know where it is.  Edit as you wish!

Two small things I put together for this lesson. Since there's such variation with grade 3 and 4 textbooks, there isn't much on this lesson out there.

There's a basic 'Let's _____' PPT activity and three short dialogues that can be performed with a co-teacher.

A game to get the kids up and moving. It's a telepathy style guessing game. I put a number sign in the 4 corners of the room 1-4 and show the Ss 4 sentences on a slide. They must pick one sentence and go to the corner with that number. (ie if they choose sentence 2 they go to the corner marked 2) Then Ss in corner 1 read sentence 1 and Ss in corner 2 read sentence 2 etc.

After all have finished reading I hit the screen and one by one they fall away, the groups that falls away must sit down and the people at the winning sentence go for a second round till we have only 1 winner and they get a reward candy. kids LOVE it!

This is for my period 2 class. For the warmup of the class I made a kinesthic game called Let's dance. Have some music playing in the background. The students will take turns saying either, "Let's Gentleman.", "Let's Gangnam Style.", "Let's Funky Chicken.", and Let's Harlem Shake". Once the student says it the rest of the class has to do that dance.

For the second part, I had them play tic-tac-toe. I strongly recommend that you draw the tic-tac-toe on a white board first and have the whole class play. Afterwards, I gave each team a print out of the tic-tac-toe worksheets to work on. I put all my games in a sheet protector and give the students dry-erase markers to write with.

The slides for the students are in the powerpoint. You'll have to download the powerpoint and print the two pages as a handout.
