Body Language PPT with Worksheet
« on: October 26, 2010, 08:59:32 AM »
You'll probably have to edit this lesson a bit. The beginning is a review of the previous week's class. For the first slide after the title, it says, "What did that mean?" etc. I crossed my arms, rolled my eyes and sighed to show demonstrate how we can communicate non-verbally. The rest should be self explanatory. Let me know if you find any mistakes.

My ppt and stuff for this lesson. Now with added K-pop stars and Borat!

attached are the worksheets i am going to have the students do (haven't done this lesson yet). there is also a teacher's example for the "make your own body language sign" worksheet (please excuse the terrible 'drawing', it's just meant to be an example). What you could do for the "make your own body language example" is get someone to take a picture of you making the sign, put it in there, and then put it up on the projecter as an example.

if there is still time left in the class you can ask for volunteers to come up to the front and show everyone their signs.

what i'm planning on doing is getting one person from each group to show me their group's new made-up sign and taking pictures of them with my digital camera. i'm then going to make a poster with the pictures on and what each sign means, and post it at the back of the class.

i've attached the vids that were embedded in the ppt as well. if your school computer is anything like mine it is a 20 year old Commodore 64 and the embedded vids might well not work.

Thanks to klorptar and ah000 above for the inspiration and the original materials, some of which I've re-used.
