This lesson looks great fun and I'm sure it will have the students attention, but is it appropriate for 1st graders of middle schoolers? What with their friends dying etc.

I can't find the original thread either, but I did find a zombie movie that my girl students love!  Yes, they are still squeamish over the blood and guts, but the story is a total heartstring puller.
