Feelings/emotions
« on: October 27, 2010, 08:49:43 AM »
Here a simple lesson plan on emotions.

First show the intro PPT.
Next, either teach the song or play the game (song is to the tune if you're happy and you know it and game is Pass the Pencil).

Feelings/emotions

I teach afterschool and just covered emotions with my 3rd and 4th grade elementary kids. Here's a minesweeper game and a mario blast review game. For the minesweeper game they have to make a sentence using the character and the emotion (Shrek is angry etc.) Both templates I got from this site, so thanks!!

Thanks so much for the Minesweeper game! I'll have to try it out with my grade 2s.

I have already posted these PPTs elsewhere but thought i would post them here also.

Here are some simple Studio Ghibli PPTs  i made for emotions. One of the Powerpoints was made to be used with the busy beavers How are you song, although i changed some of the emotions in the ppt (can be found on youtube). They were pretty popular with my students, especially the angry bird slide. I get sick of the same responses "Im fine and you" so i really drilled them hard with these different expressions.

Feel free to use these materials, improve them and repost them up to Waygook.

Thanks

Elementary Grade 6 Emotions PPT and Lesson Plan
« Reply #7 on: March 02, 2012, 06:01:52 PM »
This is my first post on this forum. I thank all the teachers for sharing their material. I am a first-time teacher, so I need all the help I can get. However, I want to contribute what I can, so this was a PPT, worksheet, and lesson plan talking about different emotions. Feel free to tweak/edit any way you like!

Here is a feelings crossword. Probably a little advanced for beginners.

Here is a lesson I am doing for my winter camp. It is an 80 min class so there are lots of activities.

I have included
- my lesson plan
- PPT (got from another user forgot who but thanks!/changed a bit)
- a hidden picture game (also from another user, thanks!)
- 2 worksheets ~ simple matching worksheet and one with a list game and dialogue

Hopefully this helps someone.
