Spice Girls PPT, Game and general lesson idea.
« on: October 06, 2011, 06:58:04 PM »
My kids have just finished their exams, they don't want to be thrown straight back into textbook classes so I've made this lesson. Most of my students (and teachers) don't know the Spice Girls so I introduced them to girl power.

It's for middle schoolers, but can be easily be adapted to other levels. Add and takeaway as you wish and feel free to add your thoughts and feedback. Unless you tell me it's not appropriate, in which case - bite your tongue!

I just did it with my class of doom and it had their attention - which is rare.

The boys enjoyed perving at the Spice Girls, the girls were just interested and my co-teacher was also interested as she didn't know the Spice Girls. I asked lots of intermittent questions and had them try to guess each spice girls nickname before actually telling them. Once I told them they'd have to try and tell me why it is their nickname. All in all, it was a hit.

I hope some of you make good use of it and add/takeaway as you wish.

Cheers.

PS - There is a picture in there of me which you may want to remove before presenting to the class!
