This is a lesson I made for my all-male seniors. They like computer games and guns, so I figured a lesson on the Goldeneye remake for the Wii would be up their alley.
I transcribed an interview to the best of my ability and handed copies out to the students. Then they followed along as the clip played. Next I taught some vocabulary through a PowerPoint and replayed the video.
Then we played a game of my creation with an inherently misogynistic title called, "Grenades, Guns, and Girly Slaps." We reviewed the video again, and then they worked on the "Design a Gadget" exercise on the bottom of the sheet until the end of class.

I'm right there with you. Depending on the class, the lesson worked out alright.

I'm seriously entertaining the idea of an air horn purchase... I'm not sure what the coteachers would say. But I know students couldn't sleep through or talk over that. It would be like a "Pavlov's Dogs" sort of experiement, and it could save on candy.

I haven't played a ppt game before. Coudl you give me a rundown on how it would work? What button to go to the homepage, etc.
