ppt which basically plays like 'the price is right'. have your kids in groups, show em the pic, use the target language, have em discuss the price for a moment, call on em and write all the answers on the board. show em the real price. team closest without going over wins 1 point. if they guess exact price, 3 points. the last few pics are luxury items with big prices that my kids flipped over.

Here's the 'How Much is It Worth?' ppt.   I used it last year.  I don't remember who created it. Since my Ss loved playing this game & it wasn't posted yet, I thought other teachers might want to use it too.

Review the different types of American money. Next, have the Ss guess the total amount of the money they saw flash quickly on the screen.  The Ss really loved it!  Enjoy this game!

Very simple ppt to review numbers from 11-20.

Edit: I only had 19 hairpins instead of 20.  Fixed that.  Also added a screen to review numbers from 1-10.

Picture cards for drilling etc. Each card has an item and a price ticket. Also a couple of Sesame street vids  showing numbers 1-20. (Role call)
and
(Number elimination)

Hey here is a practice PPT I modified to for this book and this chapter. It can from another book section but works just the same.

Also here is a game I made from putting others contributions together. :P Print out the work sheet and give to each student To play they look at the 'How Much is it' ppt and first write down the item and in the sentence 'I want this ____' Then they write the how much they think it costs. Show them and the students who guessed right AND spelled the number write get a point. Most points is the winner.
Moved a long long ways...

This is a PPT I made to teach the kids numbers 13-20 for the first period of lesson 14. I made it with the  Angry Birds theme and students really enjoyed it.

I combined/edited some of the ppts on here to make a game aimed at speaking, so this is specifically for Unit 14, lesson 1.  I think the game is pretty self explanatory, except that in the second half, I'm having the kids give me play money as well.

Good luck!

Here are a first and second period intro/review powerpoints modified from several other posts.
The prices to practice are all in dollars and most are between ten and twenty dollars. It's too much to practice high numbers with some of my students. This way you can focus on practicing counting from 10 to 20 in English.
Also here are a whiteboard writing game, a moving word ppt to test correct spelling and a price is right style whiteboard game with the prices modified to be 20 dollars and under.

Here's a ppt. to go along with Period 2: Look and Say. The students should listen to the dialogue a few times first, then they should try to tell the teacher the sentences they heard in any order. Print page 2 so that you have the answers in front of you. Students who answer correctly can get a sticker/point or whatever your reward system is. Clicking on the monkeys will then take you to the Listen and Repeat dialogues. I used Jacob Moer's ppt as a template!

This template works well for any grade 3-6.

Cheers and I hope you find it as useful as I have!

The how much is that doggy in the window song is great. I found one that's a bit slower so lower level children can understand and keep up :)

Revamped some older files I found a few years ago.  Also made a peer survey thing and the photo Price is Right guessing game (good times, remembering how cheap things were just a few years ago).  Just trying to spread the spirit of Christmas commercialism, haha.

Also one review game set in the Angry Birds template.  Has phrases in Korean and kids have to translate to English, or look at the picture and use the appropriate dialogue.  Covers chapters 9-14 in the Green Globe (Frances Sohn) book.

My kids are pretty high level, so you may want to simplify/edit/change some things.

Hey guys! Here's an intro ppt that combines 3 of the ppts on here already (thanks for all your hard work!). I modified them a bit. First there is Angry Birds practise for counting 11-20. Then there's practice with "May I help you/Yes, please/How much is it?/etc", and lastly, there are some slides introducing Canadian rather than American money (Loonie - $10), and practice with the key sentences and adding money.

Hope it's useful!

Cheers!

Another song my They Might Be Giants to introduce the lesson. It's called "I can add" and the kids loved it.

Thought I'd contribute some stuff seeing as there isn't much on this thread for this particular lesson. The first is a class ppt with a review then instructions for the cockroach game. Ne next two are beginning and end reviews for 4-14-3.

A very simple powerpoint to have the students practice 12 and 20 as they always get them confused. I first practiced with them and then for Round 2, flashed the number up, went to the blank page and then asked random students what number they saw.
