I made a powerpoint for the intro on this lesson. I will post it little bit later.
I have no idea what game to play with this lesson. Last year, I thought It's snowing. Its about the weather. But the first lesson of this new book is put on your _____. I have to come up witha game.
If anyone who can help me, please help

I've made an activity for Period 2

Draw a picture for the kids to color in. Label some areas A, E, I, O, U, Y.
A= the bow
E= the eyes
I= the skin
O= the dress
U= the hair
Y= a flower

We're going to practice the sounds of the vowels, then color in the right colors based on the right answer.

This is a review and game I created. Divide class into teams. Make the team decide and chant an iten together. I.E Put on your ........(gloves etc) then the team can pick two squares. If they find the correct item they get a point. After a round go to the next grid. Works well for 10-15 minutes for class of 25 ish.

Here is an Angry Birds game that focuses on the phrase "Put on your...". It deals with cold weather, what to wear in cold weather, and a little bit about Christmas.

I used the awesome Angry Birds template that's been floating around. In the beginning to advance to the next slide you must click the RIGHT arrow in the bottom left corner. To make the answers appear you must click in the area of the question (at the top).

Also I attached a bit of an introduction ppt. It includes a few cold weather situations and cold weather clothing.

Here is a link a video from Elf Learning (they also have a few others on YT related to clothing you should checkout).

My kids like this because there were able to review and learn new stuff and with the nicely times pauses and back beat it was interesting for various levels. Also in the second half there's a game of sorts that allows the kids to say all the clothing items on their own. [21 24 in total] Or course they needed a reminder for one or two but it was a great motivation for the first period and any other one I'm sure since the vocab is more than the book introduces. Highly recommended if your CT isn't against introducing a bit more information to the students than the book does.

Intro powerpoint for winter clothing words (scarf, hat, coat, gloves, mittens, boots, sweater) and "put on." Has "learn the words" slides first, then practice slides.

Got a lot of the images from other powerpoints already posted, so thanks for that!

It is also snowflake themed. =)

My co-teachers and I thought the "Listen and Play" in period 1 was too short and maybe not very interesting for the boys, so we're going to play Slap instead (where two players have a set of cards between them and have to race to grab the card the teacher says). Here are the pictures I used for it. They're a bit small but obviously you can change them or reuse them to suit your needs. They include all the clothes from this unit (coat, boots, sweater, hat, gloves) in different colours.

I modified the mario game to fit more with this lesson.

Also, since it's almost Christmas here's a link to a snowman coloring worksheet. The students can identify the clothes before they cut them out and glue them onto the snowman.

This is a Gangnam style game that mainly looks at Lesson 15, but always revises parts of section 8 and 11. Don't ask me why we did our chapters in that order. Enjoy!
