After School Class - Drama Club
« on: March 05, 2012, 11:35:58 AM »
If anyone's interested in doing a Drama club, this is a fairly simple script for Kongwi and Padgwi. It's more for lower level students, but provides a great framework you can then calibrate to your particular students' levels.

Here's a cool vocabulary PPT for a Drama class I taught. Has some basic words and stuff.

Thanks for the script, I will for sure use it. I am trying to get my students to write their own scripts, and this will be a GREAT example :)
If you have any other resources to share, I'll gladly take them!
Thanks a ton!

Found this doctor skit on an esl website, here's an intro ppt and worksheet that I made and borrowed from other sources.  The body parts vocab is from somewhere on waygook, thanks to whoever made it originally!

The Gruffalo!  Edited the text in the book to make a shorter script.  I also showed the BBC animation to the students after reading the script, which helped some of the lower level students who didn't really follow the story just from reading it.  Can't find the link for the video anymore

Went to a workshop where they had the idea to put on a play using the book, "The Stinky Cheese Man."
Here's the script and ppt I used.  Student's really liked it, and it was fun having them guess what folktale this is based on.

Just adding to the list of 'The Gruffalo' material. The kids love the story, and there are a variety of fun activities you could do with the kids. This is an all-round WINNER!!!! :-*
