Here is a nice 8-10 minute filler. It's about American vs. British English

Here's a Lucky Wheel review game for chapter 2. I just took the vocab list posted here (20 items on the list, 20 questions in the game). There is one question about me, so you'll want to change that.

Similar games are posted for Chapter 2 of both grades 2 and 3 as well.

Does not work properly with Powerpoint 2010, though I believe you can fix that by enabling macros. Not sure how you do that.

Slide 4 is blank, LEAVE IT THAT WAY. It might screw up the links if you don't.

Hmm, starting this lesson next week and I am a bit sad to find that no one has posted any lesson plans. Where'd all you generous people go!? :D

i wish I could "like" that but maybe I spend too much time on Facebook at work ;P
Here's what I did this week:

When the ball stopped everyone had to ask "What's your favorite...."
Oh and the kids LOVE when you fill in the blanks with "bididdy"
There is also an interview handout.

I also played this sesame street transportation video. It was difficult to listen to for my students, but they still enjoyed it.

For the really good classes, I also played SpongeBob Rock Bottom Ep. Rock Bottom (When he is at glove world trying to get home). This video is about 10 mins long, but you can ask them lots of questions. My school owns the Spongebob DVDs with EBS Korean Subtitles... but I also found a portion of the video online. The problem with this video online is that it lags a little and also cuts out the ending where he flys using the balloon. Still could be useful for you...

I took a couple of other presentations posted here and pikachu-fied them. seemed to boost my students' enthusiasm a bit and provided another way to relate each slide to them. I felt this lesson was quite successful!
