This will take more than one class' time to do

Lesson Plan:

1. Start with Listen in Parts A-D

2. Start going through the powerpoint (which refers back to the Speak out exercises of the textbook)

3. Explain how to do the "Telephone Conversation Worksheet" (I teach a girl school with class size of roughly 30)
i) Each student gets either a "calling" or "answering" role. They must speak to each other as if they are talking over the phone and find their respective partner and write down the corresponding lines.
ii) If they talk to the wrong person, then the wrong person must say "Sorry you have the wrong number" and move on
iii) NO shouting "Who's Amy?" or "Where is Jenny?"

The game (hints/guess) doesn't exactly match the phone dialogue but it's pretty fun with students.

Powerpoint explaining briefly.
Game, "Find Pikachu" - very simple, but kids enjoyed it. more a time filler than anything else. took about 5 minutes. You can add more slides etc.

Here's my material for Chapter 6. G1L6(1) is for the first speak out, and G1L6(2) is for the second speak out.

I stole the conversation activity from Giny Ohc and modified it to make it a bit simpler for my low level girls. Thanks Giny!
Also included is a pretty thorough powerpoint showing the general deal with making phone calls...people not there...wrong numbers...it's focused mainly on the Simpsons but also includes some other celebs. Also included is a worksheet with fill in the blanks for the students to do. We got through all of the material in 45 minutes, although I think they cheated on the activity. Oh well.

-- Part Two --
Everything is included in the powerpoint. First there's a presentation about the language we're using. People are using "How about..." to make plans "this ___(day)___ afternoon/evening" I mostly focused on playing sports. We did a lot of repeating for this part. Then there are double sided worksheets that you can print off and cut in half for the students. The worksheets are just fill in the blank type of things.

For the activity, the students go around trying to recruit people to play sports with them using the dialogue. They need to add at least one person's name for each of the activities printed on their schedule. If someone asks them to do something and they have no plans, they put an X in that box. There are a few uncommon sports in the activity so there are some slides to teach them about cricket and football and pool and whatnot.
