Ppt and "do you know how" bingo sheet for Lesson 4.2. I had the students mingle and ask each other "Do you know how..." questions from the bingo sheet, and write in the name of the person who answered "yes I do". They had to get a line to win.

The lesson runs slightly long with the final task which is a recap of the future tense stuff covered in Lesson 4.1.

Here's a few activities for part 1 of this unit "I'm going to." The ppt contains instructions for doing the activities, which you can pop right into your presentation.

The first activity is a speaking practice - students interview each other about their future plans. Pretty straightforward, my guys took 5-10 minutes to do it.

The second activity is a board game which I've adapted from the ever-useful bogglesworldesl.

The third activity is the speaking game "I'm going on a picnic". The first kid says, "I'm going on a picnic and I'm going to take an apple." The next kid says, "I'm going on a picnic and I'm going to take an apple and a blueberry." The next kid says "I'm going on a picnic and I'm going to take an apple, a blueberry and a cake." and so on. The first slide and general idea came from someone else on here (thank you!) I just added a few more slides to help explain the game to your kids. This could take a pretty long time if you let it.

I also strongly recommend starting or ending the lesson by showing this video of some lions getting schooled by a crocodile and some buffalos, pause the video every few seconds and encourage your students to say what they think will happen next.

I'm not planning anything myself for the second part of this lesson because TROGDOR! ^^

This is for the second half of the Speak Out section.

Do you know how to ______________________?
Yes, I do. / No, I don't.

The lesson focuses on musical instruments. First there's a presentation about how to use the language which also introduces all the vocab they need for the activity. Then there are a bunch of cards. Each student has two skills and they need to find 5 people with different skills to join their band. I had to balance out all the cards so that there are enough students who play each instrument. This is for a class of around 30 students. So they go around asking each other "Do you know how to....." until they have a full band. If they finish too quick, have them find 3 of each instrument.

Also...watch out for cheating. The first class cheated and just spoke Korean. So I told the next class that if they did a good job we'd watch a cool video at the end of class.
