Hi all. Here is my ppt for speak out B - I haven't tried A yet. The ppt focuses around the target phrase "I am interested in" and is about careers. It includes a fun career quiz at the end which is aimed at getting the students to use the target language - but who knows ??? Instructions are included in the ppt and worksheet is attached. Thanks to all those whose ideas I have used and adapted. Hope it helps :)

simple ppt practicing Part A of Lesson 11
then a memory game for Part B
if you click the cards, they disappear and if you click the picture, the card reappears.
Printed out smaller cards for the kids to play a memory game in groups.
If they found a matching pair, they weren't allowed to take the cards till they answered two questions.
The other members in the group would chant:
"What do you do?"
Looking at the card, the student will respond:
"I am a ___"
Then the group will chant again,
"Why did you choose your job?"
The students will reply,
"Because I am interested in ___."

Part A is about giving compliments so I made a song (using the melody from Memory), the lyrics are words that compliments me. I sang it out for the students first, they had to listen and pick out the good words that describes me. Then for the second part, in their groups, they had to pick a teacher (any teacher they like) and fill in the lyrics. Then, of course, they had to present it to the class by singing.

It sounds kind of hard but it worked out pretty well for me and the kids had a lot of fun doing it especially when they were singing / listening to their friends' songs.

Hope it'll work out for you too ^^
