;) Just trying to help out my fellow teachers. Here is a powerpoint that reviews DR dr consonant vowel blends and introduces vocabulary from the book. It uses interesting .gif pictures to hopefully make the material more memorable.

My students seem to enjoy the Peter Weatherall songs and for this lesson we watched/listened to the "people song". It works well with the lesson.

I made this based off of Lolin's battleship game. Basically, I found the template and really wanted to use it. The kids really liked it. I had them play individually, but I only have 6 kids in the class...

Battleship game with PPT on how to play.

If you are playing Battleship for the first time with students, it usually takes a long time for them to figure out what the are doing, but they will eventually get the hang of it.
If you then use Battleship regularly, it is a lot easier

This is funny just to show your students a good idea versus a bad idea. Animaniacs was a famous kids show back in the day. There's a ton of good idea bad idea videos from that show.

Thank you so much for making this. My students really liked it because it was similar enough to the Mario Game but different enough for it to be interesting and keep their interest. I just we had more time to play it. Thank you.

My grade 6's love the simpsons. Here is a video showing many different jobs that Homer has had over the course of the show! they really liked this
