So thanks to plague monkey for being the only person to post on this unit. I made a PPT from some of the flashcards he/she posted. Nothing special, but it does the job!

AJR83, This looks cool, but how do you play the game? There are buttons that look like they play sounds, but the ppt seems to me missing the mp3 files. Can you post the mp3's you've been using or an updated version of the ppt?

I'm planning to play a version of Go fish.
Simply using the six phrases from page 176.
The groups will have to make a sentence (Can you...) to ask another group if they have a card. The answering teams gives a positive or negative response.
Move on to the next team.
Pretty basic. I'm only doing pairs, but if you have more time you can do sets of three or even four.

This is a game I came up with called the
Gimme Game
. You can use this with a lot of different phrases and situations, but in this lesson I used it this way:
Each person has 2 cards. Everyone in the group can see the cards because they must know who to ask for. So person 1 asks person 2
"May I speak to ____?"
both persons will play rock-paper-scissors. If person 1 wins, person 2 must give up the card person 1 asked for and then say
"This is ____ speaking."
If person 2 wins they must say
"No, you may not."
and person 2 gets to keep their card. The point of the game is to get the most cards.
The one problem I ran into is with this version of the game my students seemed to think it was a version of Go Fish, even though I told them repeatedly the cards don't need to match and they must play rock-paper-scissors. Never thought I would have a hard time getting Korean students to play rock-paper-scissors...
Let me know how it goes!

I wanted to get something up here, since this lesson is sort of deceiving based on the title, AND there isn't much posted for this lesson already. Hopefully someone has time to use it this year.
It is a Thanksgiving lesson (combined from some of the other Thanksgiving themed lessons on this site), and adds in the key expressions toward the end of the ppt. "Can you ____ for me?", etc.
This took nearly the entire lesson, so you may be able to stretch it over 2 lessons if that is your thing. I even skipped over a few parts, so you'll be able to cut it down in to one lesson also.

This is a whiteboard Blazing Pens team game. There is a mix of writing challenges (unscramble sentence, finish the sentence, unscramble the word, all 4 students write the sentence, etc). 4-5 students per team. First team to hold up the correct answer gets a point.

Hello everyone,
For those who are still on this lesson, I'm just adding a KPOP related Key Expressions PPT. No music, just some silly gifs.. My kids liked it, hope yours do as well.

Half size worksheets for Story A and B. The script is provided with key words left blank for students to write in, along with translating several sentences to Korean (find those on the CD).
A review worksheet with 10 questions. #1-4 are meant to be the sound file for the activity from period 1, Listen & Match on p. 171. Attentive students might recall hearing this before, but I'm guessing most of mine won't.
A TPR format game that has students practice reading one or several sentences, then read again with assigned actions (clap, duck, jump, spin, and yell). Original idea from another user, I've only edited the language for this lesson.

Here is a bomb game with review material from lessons 8-12
I used a blank template for the game so all credit for the game goes to the original maker. Most of the questions also come from other PPTs I have found here on waygook.
Just putting this to give credit to all the other great teachers who work I am using.
For details on the PPT, go here

I took the Mario PPT Game (thanks yjh07022!) and the Blazing Pens PPT Game (thanks thepriesthood!) and combined it to make my own writing game.
You can divide the students into any number of groups and have them write the answers on white boards.
Enjoy!!

stuff
I appreciate when people go to a lot of effort to make stuff - and it looks like this person has really gone to
a lot
of effort - but unfortunately materials are completely useless if you don't explain how to use them.
for example, the boardgames posted here look great, but really require some type of explanation on how to play them.
so please explain your materials in future people!

I cut up the attached chant from p. 174. I made groups of 3 and each group received a set of the cut up chant. I cut up the chant into letters, words or phrases based on how hard I wanted the activity to be. The students listened to the chant and raced against each other to put the words and letters in order. The first team to have the chant in the correct order wins. You may need to play the song a few times before there is a winner.
