This is a basic .ppt I made to use with the first lesson of Lesson 2. (YBM 2011 Green Book)

Some writing activities using the days of the week and a intro ppt for teaching school subjects.

Adapted Guess What ppt. Has two rooms and various subjects. The last slide instructs students to open their books to page 20.

This is the intro PPT that I will use for my class.... it will introduce and practice these key sentences: 'What's your favorite class?  I like _____.  I like ____, too'

The game at the end is the same as in the book, but modified to be played in their teams as opposed to individual... we'll see how that works out!

I attached two power point presentations.  The first is to introduce the new words and vocabulary.  There are a lot of new expressions in this unit, especially if your students are low level, and it helps familiarize them with " What can you do on the playground?" or " What can you study in the science lab?" etc.

The second ppt is for the second period, to teach and practice key expressions. 

Thanks to the person who put up the Mario game as we will use that tomorrow for fun.  Hope these help!

As a warm-up activity my co-teacher and I are going to play the song My Favorite Things from The Sound of Music.  Just something to help the students transition and start the topic for the day. 

Here is an activity I did with the 5th graders, and they seemed to enjoy it.
It's called Writing Stations. The students rotate through 5 "stations" to complete specific writing tasks.
I tried to target vocabulary, grammar/sentence structure, and production.

I've posted the LP with some explanations and also the powerpoint which contains the materials I made for it.
I also added some more information in the power point to try to clarify how I used it.

The 3rd slide is the handout students will need.
The remaining slides you just need one copy unless you want to have duplicates around the classroom.

I made a pass the ball game on making a suggestion. Specifically using the "How about ____ing?" grammar pattern.

I needed a review game for this lesson, so I threw some of the ppts together in a Mario game to review the key expressions in this textbook.

What's your favorite class?
My favorite class is ___.

How about ______ing?

And unscrambling key vocabulary.
