Ugh, I'm starting to dislike this book more and more no thanks to this lesson. I have my doubts on whether an actual native speaker was even consulted on the language.

Anyways, gotta deal.

Three Powerpoints:

1. One is a plain review ppt for the start of the class. Students remove one word and make the target language.

2. "Dice Game" is just an explanation of the game for the second period.

3. "What's Missing" is a team game I'm using as a substitute activity for the 5th period of this lesson. The class looks at the slide and makes the question [“What’s your favorite _____ ?” (animal / color / food / sport)]. One student from each group uses the missing picture on the next slide to make an answer ("My favorite color is red.")

I feel your pain. It irks me that kids are learning "How is it going?" instead of "How are you"?  There's a big difference. And what about "Thanks vs Thank you."  Now they're learning "Forget it!" WT!!!!!  Who wrote this damn book?

Thanks for the PPTs though.

Guess the Picture game I found here on waygook and edited for this lesson. Props to the original maker. Students guess the target sentence or question based on the hidden picture.

This is a running dictation I designed for period 3. The more language I can generate instead of this worthless lesson, the better.

Here is an avengers game for this lesson. It has a few review questions from lesson 1 as well. I edited this game from another user to fit our textbook.

I have also attached an activity I made that I call an "interview game." For this students have to go around the classroom asking other students about their favorite sport. Students will then sign their name next to the correct sport. the student who can get the most sports is the winner (or you can play where the student with the most signatures is the winner). For this activity make sure you tell them to ask and answer in English, not just sign the paper.
