Here is another handout I put together. Like the fifth grade handout, it is nothing fancy. And yes, another blazing pens!

Here is a pass the paper I took from the old book. I modified it so the sentences fit the new book.

I used this video to show the students that anything is possible as long as they continue to practice it and/or study hard enough.. There are two drinking related scenes (around 1m20s and 1m40s), I just paid attention and quick skipped over them when they came up.

My students really loved it and it got them excited to learn about Lesson 5

For this lesson in my class we played the snowball game. Its when we put some flash cards on the board of the occupations. We have teams of 5 so we put 5 different flahs cards up. Each team has to say the expression "I wan to be a____" the next student has to say them both I want to be a _____, I want to be a _____. An it continues to all 5. The fastest team wins. we timed them and did them individually.

Occupation BINGO.  I used it last year in "My Father Is a Pilot."  I didn't make it, so props to the creator.

Here's a rough two week lesson plan.

Week 1.

1.worlddjobs.ppt.  I added a bunch of conversation practice and some explanations.
2. pass the paper game. You can download it earlier in this thread.
3. Book word or writing practice.
4. Chirades / Tabboo game.

Week 2.

1. Simple occupation review.ppt.  Just a quick review of jobs.
2. Treasure game.ppt Good review matching game
3. Willy dream.ppt STorybook about different jobs.
4. Survey + talking to the 외국  Make a survey for the students to do.  They should walk around the class and interview each other.  Have the coteacher supervise.  Meanwhile, the 외국 선생님 can have a small desk somewhere where 4 students at a time come and have some small group conversation practice with the teacher.

Not used this yet. But I love it! The PPT is very easy to understand and well laid out. Thanks for putting the time in. I know my kids will love playing both games :)

My co-teacher and I expanded on the Charades game a bit and came up with this.  The groups get 2 minutes each (just have to put 120 in the seconds box in the bottom right).  Maybe you have seen this program around.  You can edit the selections in the notepad file included.  It shoudn't be too difficult to figure out.  When you start the flash program you have to click on the 문제선택 on the bottom right.  Then the students can select which one by choosing the Korean character. (재 미 있 는 스 피 드 쾨 즈)  Then type your time limit before hitting the orange start (시작) button.  If the students get it right then select 정탑 or if they get it wrong select 통과.  It was quite fun!  Try it!

A ppt to practice the key phrases of the units. Questions "do you like to..." and "What do you want to be?" with a variety of responses.

I took kkemp2's memory game, tweaked it a slight bit and then made intro slides to show the professions and what they like.

Mystery box to end the lesson on occupations.  I try to use longer games on the last day since the lesson itself is a joke.

2 games I made using others PPT on Jobs. I've modified it to make it more challenging and longer for my class.

First one is a board game. Very simple, you can play it in groups of 4-6 and I've printed it in colour A3 size and laminated it so I can use it over again. It was success and got them to say the name of the Jobs. (I used the people song in the previous class to teach them various jobs)

Second game is Charades. I've used the pictures on someones PPT and changed some. I've divided my class into teams of 5 people and got each team to come up to the front  and stand in a line. Each person act out the job and the last person standing guess the Job. It was really fun and my kids laughed watching eachothers acting.

Hope this helps!
