Love Actually would be a great one to show for older students!
I am also trying to decide which movie to show my students.I teach at an all girls middle school. I think I can take up two class periods with a movie hopefully the last two weeks of December. Easy for me and for themI asked some of my students and they claim that everyone has seen Home Alone.Love Actually sounds like a good one, but I don't know how to get the video with subtitles.Another suggestion is the movie Serendipity. It isn't all christmas themed but I LOVE THIS MOVIE.. and it almost always makes me feel in the mood for Christmas. I would love to show it but need subtitles.. still searching for them. Also could be cool to teach them a neat vocab word. Serendipity. And you could lead the class to talk about missed connections and hold a discussion about what you would do if you met someone you really liked but then didn't know how to contact them. How would you feel? What would you do?I will keep checking back on this post to see what the other suggestions are.. I am really pumped to relax the final two weeks of December xx
If anyone has links to where I can download any of these Christmas movie suggestions, with subtitles please, can you please post them here. I have no idea where to try and find them.Thank you so much!By the way, Edward Scissor Hands would be a good movie and my middle school girls seem to love Johnny Depp...
