Here's a song called Everyday which your students can sing. IMPROVEMENT is what learning is all about. I have added a fill-in-the-blank worksheet for those students who are not inclined to sing. You may run into file issues as I wrote the worksheet in OpenOffice.

Does anyone use the sentence, "How smart he is!"    My CT insists that it's a sentence structure Koreans learn in middle and high school and that it's real.  I've never heard this sentence structure before, besides Yoda.  I would just say, "He's so smart!"  Any input?
I brought this up to my co-teacher when we started the lesson.  She too was insisted that it was proper English. She said there is a children's book that uses this language repeatedly. You're wasting your energy trying to argue with Koreans about this. Just go with it. It's still a grammatically correct exclamatory sentence.

I just mentioned this to my co-teachers, so we're not teaching it. Took like 2 seconds. Definitely argue it, you're the English speaker, not them, and that is an awful sentence structure.

I'm just gonna teach 'pronoun' is (really/very) 'adjective' like they already know and introduce a few new adjectives about people instead. Obviously tell your students why you're not going to be teaching it also...

Also, in the reading lesson. The first sentence in the book is "There were an elephant, a monkey and a dog." Should be "There was..."

Made a Sleeping Elephants Game for this chapter.

I had a game where I printed up a bunch of pictures from one of the ppts here and I also added Mini Me and Yuna Kim, so they got their own sentence. The rest are fairly easy to put together without reference.

I am going to play the comparative olypmics with my students. I took someone else's fabulous powerpoint and added a lot more challenges.

Made a Harry Potter bomb game for this chapter. Lots of fun visuals taken from other ppts or my own.

This can be handed out on the first day of Lesson 7 or for review any time.

It is a simple table with key vocabulary and expressions for Lesson 7 - in English and Korean. It has 3 tables per page, so just cut the page into thirds, snip off the side, and tell students to paste it in a notebook or textbook.
(My CT uses the teacher's guide, so it just covers the suggested material from that book.)

Here's a worksheet I put together for next week.  With doing the "Act it Out" for Story land next week, this should take a full two periods.

How I do "Act it Out" is very fun and takes a full period.  I put a scoreboard on the board with all the teams.  Each team as ten minutes to plan out how they're going to put on the script.  Once the 10 minutes are up, they each have a chance to come up front and put on their play.  Myself and my co-teacher each give a score out of 10 totaling up to a score out of 20.  The best teams are the ones who are the most creative, as well as the ones who memorize the script rather than just reading it.  Points are subtracted for teams who talk too much while the others are performing.  The highest score at the end gets candy.  This has been hugely successful with my 5th graders, even prompting videos being taken of the plays for the parents to watch later.
The 6th graders are a little more cynical and not as many enjoy it.

I also have three more activities on the sheet from ideas I found on Google.  So:

Wksheet 1 1st half:   Storyland script with fill-in-the-blanks (easy)
Wksheet 1 2nd half:  Make the comparison and superlative of the adjective and their   opposites (intermediate)
Wksheet 2 1st half:  Complete the sentences using the correct comparative or superlative provided (hard)
Wksheet 2 2nd half:  Comparative/Superlative crossword (hard)

Enjoy!  Thanks to the ideas from the worksheets I found on Google.

So made this kpop comparatives game for my kids-

Pretty simple you just show them the question, then show them A, then have them guess the answer and write it on their whiteboards "A is bigger then B" if they are right they get the points.

It's a little time sensitive but feel free to change up the videos if you want!

Put it on google, because i am not tech savy, basically just download all the files and make sure they are in the same folder.
