I give all credit to that original poster.Basically,Listen to the CDRead with the CDPPTSs underline 3 words they think are important. One student (A) reads the script from the PPT. When (A) says any word, the Ss who underlined that word must say it.Ss memorize one of the lines. They start standing up and say the line and sit down as the story goes on. For this, all the Ss memorized the same line. For the 2nd class I told each group to memorize each scene in respect to their group number. 1 reads the first scene and so on. ( I made this clearer in the 6th grade version of this)The Skeleton game is simple but fun for them. Have them read the sentences. They loved it.Then, a student translates each line.Good luck everyone. Story Time can be enjoyable! This is great here is a introductory motivational moviehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0JllfEP9X4&feature=related

This is an idea I have for section 2 game. Just thought of it, maybe it'll work, who knows. What you'll need:*3 Cups labelled 1-3*Dice (or a small ball or a wad of paper, whatever)*Team 1 closes their eyes. *I pick a student to hide the "dice" under one of the cups. *'Team 1' opens their eyes.*Everyone asks them the question: "Where is the dice?"*They can either respond: "I have no idea.", or "It's under cup #__.".*If they respond: "I have no idea.", they automatically get 1 point.*If they choose to risk it and respond: "It's under cup #__." and get it right, they get three points. Wrong = minus 1 point.Turns out the crazier kids/all-boys team were also the risk takers. And they ended up winning.*I changed the rules after the first class (modified above)Great idea! I used this as a motivation for my kids. To make the game comply more with the book I glued printed out pictures of a glove, a house and a desk on the cups. So that my students were making complete sentences... The ball is in the house. The ball is under the desk.
