Inception - movie class
« on: December 13, 2010, 01:13:00 pm »
A worksheet to go with the movie 'Inception' for mid-high level high school boys. It's the last week of school, so I thought we'd have a nice easy movie class.

I show them the movie from 1 hour 25 minutes in until the end. Just about fits into the 50 minute class - given that the first 5 minutes is taken up by me introducing the characters and outlining what's happened so far in the movie.

I explain the concept of time difference between dream levels (dreams seem to take longer than they do in real-time) and how what happens you when you are sleeping can affect what's happening in your dream (for example, if you fall out of your bed when you're sleeping, you might dream of falling off a mountain).

You'll get some interesting answers for question 4.

Hey! Did you show the movie with Korean subtitles? I have checked for the movie at a couple rental shops, but couldn't find it. Is it out for rent in Korea?

One of my students downloaded it for me, Korean subtitles and all...

I normally don't see the benefit in showing movies with Korean subtitles, but the dialogue in Inception is so fast that very few of my students would be able to follow it without them.

If you're just looking for subtitles for the movie, type 'inception korean subtitle' into google. there should be plenty of results. then you just put the subtitles file into the same folder as the movie and open the movie in GOM or VLC player..

All the questions and screenshots are for that part

Would it be possible for you to host the movie to download? I wanted to use it for my winter camp lesson.
