- Festivals Around the World PPT, to inspire a bit of open conversation and replace Hello World
- Festivals I Spy PPT

I'll probably add a worksheet later on.

Attached are set of 8 game cards--could be used for slap game, go fish, etc. 

Also attached is the same game card set minus the "I will ____."  Used this set for a door test to end class.  My co-teacher and I stood at each of the doors and asked, "What will you do this weekend?"  Students responded, "I will ______."

Here is the link to last years book for chapter 8. The title is  "What will you do this summer". Has a lot of great information that can help us who are using the YBM book....Hope it helps!

Here's an idea for a simple game that doesn't require ANY material.

"I will go on a trip"

-students sit in a circle
-1 by 1 they say "I will go to (destination name)
-destination name must start with the same letter as the first letter of their given name

For instance:
          Nico: "I wil go to Niagara Falls"

-if students say it correctly, respond "Ok, you can go."
-if they dont, respond "Sorry, you can't go."

You can make the students say "My name is _____ and I will go to _____". This might help them figure it out quicker.

Alternatively, make students say place names or actions in alphabetical order.

Eg: "I will go to Angola. I will go to Belize. I will go camping. Etc."

Since the English level of my students is quite high, I modified the Doraemon Bomb Game. Thanks to TheWB18 for the original post.     Enjoy~
