I made a PPT with the phrases and vocab in English and Korean with a short quiz at the end.
Also, a vocab handout with the phrases in English and Korean. They are 1/4 sheet size (perfect for pasting in a book.) Goes in the same order at the PPT.

My students will make postcards (you can print them from the word doc attached.)
There is a PPT to help them know what to write.

EDIT: I added a worksheet with KEY WORDS and KEY SENTENCES. It has a wordsearch on the back.

This is a link to a video I made with local teachers of us talking about our vacations.
In the word doc, you'll find the script (pg.1) and a worksheet (pg.2)

Also attached- a very simple worksheet to practice the past tense.

Heya,

Introductory PPT. The first half explains grammar I got from my KT.

The second half I cobbled together from older PPT's mostly, but they contain the 12 expressions you'll need for the past tense verbs. (I refrained from using 'was' and 'were' for fear of confusion, will teach it the next day instead)

Also this uses the picture first, then the text appears, a style I prefer as it gives you a chance to elicit the phrases before teaching them!

Enjoy  :D

Welcome Back (to school) PPT with a review (rebus-type) quiz at the end.

Also includes some comics from nedroid.com, my favorite webcomic.

Pirates of the Classroom Game from the template.

Pretty simple just used Rock Paper Scissors for the fight for point slides.

I found an awesome speaking activity and my coteacher spruced it up with some "punishments" for the loser in each level.

I'll attach the PPT, pretty self-explan, but here's the directions. It could work with any dialogue:

"Conversation Food Chain" (similar to survivor, virus)

1. All students memorize dialogue/see dialogue on board.
2. Students begin as "FLIES."
3. Students stand up and find a partner to complete dialogue.
4. After they finish, Rock Paper Scissors: The loser must BOW (or other punishment) to the winner, and the winner moves up a level.
5. Winners become "CHICKENS" and stand up and repeat the dialogue with a new partner.
6. Repeat (flies, chickens, eagles, monkeys, jjangus, superman!)

There should be one student left remaining at the end of the levels.

Some materials for this lesson:

1) A very basic Past Tense Verbs Bomb Game.  I modified it from last year (not sure where I found the original) to include the past tense verb after clicking the present tense.  Click the past tense verb to show the points/bomb.  I also added the requirement that the students spell the past tense form correctly or they don't get the points!

2)  What did you do Song PPT. Goes with the great gap fill worksheet by txMichelle.  Thanks for that!  I included the link to YouTube in the PPT, but I also used Gom Player to play the second time so I could use the space bar to pause and unpause while the students wrote.  The link to Gom Player will (probably) work if you make a "Videos" folder on the desktop and put the AVI file in there (if not, just ignore that link).

3)  Here's the AVI of the What Did You Do song.  Unfortunately, not subtitled.  (That's why I used YouTube first.)

4)  Reading (Clap Game).  Don't remember where I found this, but I added one round and a couple slides for practicing.

5) Matching Game.  From last year, I think.  I added sentence practice before the game.  Works best if you make the students say the correct sentence after choosing one picture, or they lose their turn.

This ppt is modified from my planet earth camp.

It uses a lot of target sentences from the book and importantly teaches the students other countries.

To play it properly, mouse click the sound image on the Country ppts and then hit the right arrow key immediately after on your keyboard.

There should be music to go with the PPT. If the sounds doesnt play let me know. The music makes the PPT, without it, its nowhere near as cool.

Hope you enjoy it.

Tried posting this yesterday, but the combined file size was too big.  Now I'm posting them one at a time.

1)  Mr. Bean Past Tense Sentences PPT  Goes with two parts from the episode "Do It Yourself Mr. Bean."  Most of the sentences go with "Painting" section, so you could skip the first part and delete those slides if you don't have time to show both.  Or show one on one day and the second the next.

2) Mr. Bean Driving with Chair clip.  3 minutes 11 seconds.  Funny.

3) Mr. Bean Painting (with a firework).  The AVI file is the same as this video on YouTube.  (The "Driving" one on YouTube didn't have the part where he coughs, which I included in the PPT...)

***NOTE: Mr. Bean Bomb Game is now posted on Page 2 of this thread!
