I think I love you a little bit!! 
I am doing a superhero themed week next week and have loads of material for some of my classes but your quize and song idea's are great and can definitely use those in quiet spots!
Here are two of my ideas.
The card game is as it's currently planned going to go to each group we will go through the standard hero's and their powers and they will have 15 points to divide between the 4 categories then play a battle game against the other group. It's still a work in progress till I get the lowdown on the whole battle card game thing but hope it will work.

That looks really cool!  I did a day on superheroes for my summer camp (5th and 6th grades).  If anyone's  interested, here is some of my material.  I took some of it from other people, but some of it's my own.  The Superheroes!  ppt shows examples of how to describe superheroes, while Describing Superheroes lets them practice describing (I think I gave stamps for everyone who raised their hands).  Super Powers is from MES English and is about... super powers!

For the song, I used the opening for a new-ish Spider-Man series, which the kids loved.  I'm including the lyrics sheet.  The video can be downloaded with keepvid.  Here's the youtube link:

That one's a little more interesting anyway, and the lyrics repeat so they can listen to it twice without losing momentum.

I also had them create their own superheroes and used this link to create on of my own as an example: http://marvel.com/games/play/31/create_your_own_superhero  The kids also liked playing with it during the break, and a lot of them wanted the link so they could use it at home (unfortunately, I didn't have enough computers for them to use it in class).  When they finished drawing, they had to present to the class.

oh my hat, this material is great. I'm in the sticks, and it's damn-near impossible to get the high schoolers to be even vaguely interested in anything, so searching for topics that might give me even the slightest reaction. This stuff is great, thanks ya'll

Thanks for the post! It is really helpful in class! :) I've done some lessons on Superheroes and found it difficult but really pleased with your lesson. Hopefully it will work in my class!

I really like this lesson idea! I was thinking of doing something similar, so it's good to hear that it went over well with the students! Did you feel like it was engaging for the girls as well as the boys?

On the same lines of the lesson on Animal Fights.  Students can choose what superhero will win in a fight.  This group on Youtube has videos on a bunch of superhero fights.  You can discuss why and then watch them duke it out!

I will do this for an activity in my summer camp.

Example video.  Just fast forward halfway through to when they start fighting.  Also watch all the videos you want to use to make sure there is no swearing in them.
