Thanks for the ppt, here's a worksheet I made for my lower level students. It's based on the other grade 5 worksheets (thanks to whoever did that!).

Here in my vocabulary (spelling included) power point for this lesson.

You'll also need the font "Delius," which I've included here as well. In my opinion this font (along with "Comic Sans") is the best for clarity, except for the letter "k," unfortunately.

I hope this will be helpful for you.

Some of the material I have so far.

A pirate grid game.

Spot the difference. I will make color copies, students will work in pairs. Students find the difference in the two pictures, writing down in their notebooks. "There is a black lamp in the first," or whatever you decide.

Video, this is the cleanest one I found where there is no booze or beeps. There is one beep, but I think it is OK. And I will cut off before the end because they say "Sexual chocolate" jajajaj and they put it in big gold words. Other than that you can use all but the last 30 sec of it.

Here is a Prezi for the first section.  It consists of a guessing-game style puzzle review of some of the vocabulary in the lesson.

I will probably use it after the Listen and Do section as a point-based game.  If students are able to guess what the vocabulary word is from seeing just a small piece of the picture, they get a higher amount of points than if they are only able to guess the word when seeing a larger piece of the picture.

Give the students a grid and have them all write out the key sentences randomly. Once they have all finished start the game. Enjoy!

Here is the house picture from the book-- Listen and Play section.
Also, I made it into a Ppt. that has those things from the back in the Ppt. There are two slides, one for showing each thing one at a time while the kids let you know where ___ is, and one for if you are short on time, you just show that one instead, it has them all there already... so delete one according to your class... Enjoy!

*** The first one is the picture shown, just a pic. The second one (Ppt.) is the actual one to use, I put both just in case, but just go for the second one, it has first just the pic, then the items coming one at a time in this order:
Bed
Table
Toilet
Puppy
Desk
TV
Stove
Sink
Couch
Dog

PPT for the part I had to do for period 2.

Listen and repeat script. Blocks cover some words so students have to remember the dialogue, and SpongeBob characters.

Bingo game for pairs (you can print the 2 slides as handouts on one paper)

Bombgame version of the bingo if you prefer groups.

Does anyone have a good reading activity with a little bit of writing for this chapter? I have to plan for 9.4 now since I have to meet with the teacher tomorrow... Thanks if you can help!

**************************************** Modified:
If anyone thinks of anything, let me know, otherwise this is all I have so far.
I took the house pics out of someones Ppt. (thanks!!) and made a worksheet for the students to read and write if the answer is o or x... or something like that... I have 3 sentences per picture (2 are "o" and one is "x" for each), and the students have to read it (probably as a group with how this ct is) and then we will go over it as a class. Hope it helps someone! I am still trying to find a quick writing assignment to go with this, I will post it if I think of something.

I'm going to try something similar to cwells in the very first post for period one.  I have attached a very simple list of "What's in the bathroom?" or "Where's the table?"  There are twenty all together.  Cut them out and put them in a bag.  One student draws for their team.  He or she reads the question, the team answers it, and that team puts the related sticker on p. 127 (they may have two options, they just need to choose one).  The student puts the phrase back in the bag, and the next team gives it a shot.  If a team has already used the related sticker or stickers then they are skipped and the next team goes.  The team with the most stickers wins!

Here is a quick writing assignment I plan to do (if my ct likes it when I meet with her today). I made it so it can be 2/page, so cut them in half. Students can either write on the one you ask about (so maybe not the order they are in) or you can just let them have at it.

It says: Bedroom: In the bedroom there is a ___ and a ___.

Actually, I only did an example like that for the first one, all the rest are just blank after the title of the room. Bedroom is first so it got the partial sentence. I figure, they're pretty smart generally, they can figure it out!

I also included the Lesson Plan from the picky teacher, so it's way more detailed than normal.

Enjoy!

Script dialog.  Game where students must guess where 싸이 is going to go.  Slide 25 can be done in song to Kangnam Style.

"What's in the bedroom?  There's a bed and desk, too."
"What's in the living room?  There's a TV and a sofa."
"What's in the kitchen?  There's a stove and a table."
"Whats in the house? 오빤 Kangnam Style!"
