GUESS WHO CHART

Here is my first attempt at a Guess who chart... I may add another or change it a bit depending on the picky teacher who I just sent it to, but I'm hoping it will work! Sigh... Anyone else having a super hard time just because of one person... anyway, I hope you can use it, even if I can't (considering all the time I spend making stuff I can't use, I really hope someone gets something out of it!). This one is GuessWhoCards1

3 posts down you will find an improved 2/page version! This link wasn't set up yet, so I ended up posting it separately... thanks!

Here is my improved Guess Who game card- 2/page version, hopefully this works and gets put in the right place... I tried before, but I'm not sure where that post ended up... and this is the improved version anyway, so this is much better! Well, only because there are 2/page instead of only one. : )

Cards to make an uno game using Simpson's characters and avatars. Takes a bit of prep but the kids love it. Whenever they want to lay a card down, they have to make a sentence to describe the person on the card.

Here's an idea:

Picture Identity Cards (board game)
Materials: Snake-track game board OR Yutnori game board , dice, counters(Ss can use erasers or the Yutnori pieces), 20-30 pictures of various people.
Every 5th or 7th space is red.  If a Ss lands on a red space, they take a picture card. For every sentence they use to describe that person, they can move forward one space (up to 5 spaces) If any sentences are incorrect, they must move back for every incorrect sentence.
Game is finished when all of a players pieces have come back to start.

Here is the old School House Rock video for adjectives.  It's a good video for the kids because they get to see lots of different adjectives.

Fun dialog.  Students being chased by Chucky.

Game: Students describe character.  They can get complimented with a kiss (You're handsome - everyone blows them a kiss), bonked on the head by Chucky (I use a plastic toy hammer) or give the teacher a bonk on the head if they turn out to be Chucky.

Also, some mixed up faces with Korean stars.

For lesson two. To introduce question "Do you know..." "Yes, I do/"no, I dont"
It's as plain as it can come, but will initiate enough questioning and answering. Show the celebrities face, ask "do you know...." Students should say "yes I do". Then as "What does he or she look like"

Feel free to make it fancier and more exciting!  ;)
