Grade 2 Lesson 2, Part 1
« Reply #1 on: March 25, 2013, 03:18:53 PM »
Hi all,
This is what I have done for Grade 2 Lesson 2.
I am only teaching Listening and Speaking, and I have tyo do it over a 2 wk period, so I teach listening first, which is what this is.

For the worksheet you can put the answers up on the PP if you wish.
The Leson Plan I have uploaded is for my A level students, but my B and C level Lesson Plans are very similar.

The PP is a colaboration of a my own stuff and a few other things from WAYGOOK, so thanks to those people!!

Hope this helps!

Lesson 2: Our Family Vegetable Garden

FOCUS ON HOBBIES and key expressions:
"I'm interested in.."
"I'm pretty good at"
"I enjoy"

This week's expressions are simple and boring, so we didn't spend much time on them. We warmed up, practiced the dialogues, and then played the "GUESS THE HOBBY" game.
They DID use the key expressions all class which is a bonus. Even the low-level classes were entertained and active. Much of the content is borrowed from previous posters and frankensteined together.

1. Name the hobby- review vocabulary
2. Dialogue
3. Guess the Hobby game (props to a previous poster)
4. Hobby Taboo (Hints without saying the "bad" words) *we never made it this far into the lesson
