Here was what I did for this lesson
C1- Part A
Grover the waiter bit from Youtube: Have them try to figure out who, if anyone is being polite.
Cover some rules of dining in Korea: Have students write out dining rules as a group before listing them on the board.
Cover some differences between East and West when eating out
Pass out scripts to groups and have them practice for next week
*At least one person is being a jerk in each script and the kids have to watch and guess who.
C2- Role play day
Have them act out their role plays. Depending on the class, this can really eat up time.
Part B
Bad excuses exercise
C3-Strange food
Instead of a review day, I chose to do an international food day featuring stuff eaten on "Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern." It's a fun way of teaching them food related adjectives, and their reactions when the food is "revealed" are priceless, especially if you teach at an all girls school. You'll have to mod the last few pages so that they fit you, but this lesson is an easy slam dunk!
