This is a supplumental lesson for the reading section.  I was worried that the kids would think it was incredibly boring but it's gone extremely well so far. 

First ten minutes I go through the intro, try to make it as interesting as possible, ask really basic comprehension questions.  Next 10-20 minutes we do the "Etymology" bit, do the first one as an example then let them go at it, I walk around giving hints.  The rest of the time is spent on the cut-outs, guessing what words are Anglo-Saxon, French, Latin.

I wouldn't recommend it for super low-level or difficult classes.  Let me know if the file doesn't work.

Here's a lesson focusing on favors that I've cooked up. Would've liked to have included my Part A lesson, but my USB has tragically gone missing.
First few slides in the powerpoint, plus the writing activity, have been recycled from other posts. We'll finish up the lesson with a spirited game of Water Pong, basically your beer pong rules but with cups filled with water. Teams roll dice, say the targetted phrase, and then try to take out the other team's cups. Losing teams do a chicken dance.
