I'm still in the middle of teaching lesson 9, but here are some materials I made and grabbed from the site.

  • 1) Lesson Plan for my week. Last class is a midterm exam review, lessons 7, 8, and 9.
  • 2) This PPT (English is Rich) might be a little long for your classes, but I used and modified it to be an Open Class PPT. So feel free to skip ahead to where it starts with "Favors".
  • 3) Bomb Game I modified a little from Waygook.
  • 4) Day 2 PPT with some cute videos. The embed did not work for me, so I just brought up the videos on youtube. Search "big squirrel helps little squirrel" and "man helps sloth cross the street"
  • 5) Worksheet for the "Favors" PPT
  • 6) Bonus: my Open Class Lesson Plan. 100% me. Please use it to help you design your own lesson plans.

This is a supplumental lesson for the reading section.  I was worried that the kids would think it was incredibly boring but it's gone extremely well so far.

First ten minutes I go through the intro, try to make it as interesting as possible, ask really basic comprehension questions.  Next 10-20 minutes we do the "Etymology" bit, do the first one as an example then let them go at it, I walk around giving hints.  The rest of the time is spent on the cut-outs, guessing what words are Anglo-Saxon, French, Latin.

I wouldn't recommend it for super low-level or difficult classes.  Let me know if the file doesn't work.

This is what I'll be using this week. I plundered a lesson uploaded last year by Alikaz for a lot of the images in the game - thanks for the original post.

Intro > Listening > Writing practice > Game (writing and speaking)

Here's a lesson focusing on favors that I've cooked up. Would've liked to have included my Part A lesson, but my USB has tragically gone missing.
First few slides in the powerpoint, plus the writing activity, have been recycled from other posts. We'll finish up the lesson with a spirited game of Water Pong, basically your beer pong rules but with cups filled with water. Teams roll dice, say the targetted phrase, and then try to take out the other team's cups. Losing teams do a chicken dance.
