I've not taught this lesson yet so will re-upload if I change anything after teaching it next week. If you use this, make sure you change where my name and picture appears (PPT slides 12 & 42 and on the worksheet).

Lesson is based on the structure

Why do you think that.....?
I think it's because.....

Grammar intro / Listening & writing practice / Monkey game

(BTW I know the monkey game is a bit stupid. My Powerpoint skills aren't in the same league as some of the game designers on this site)

Here is my lesson for part 1 of the chapter. I start out the class with a song, and then a motivational video. I've included a link to One Direction's One Thing with Korean subtitles. The second link is to a really awesome video about people doing some extreme things. The music is pretty addictive as well. I guarantee it will calm everyone down and get them focused on learning.

Then we do a short tongue twister match, in which I time each group to say who can properly pronounce the twister the fastest. Then we learn some new words introduced in the chapter. Have your coteacher help you with that bit. Then it's on to the power point, followed by the worksheet.

The kids will absolutely love the Titanic game. They want to be treated more like adults, so I find that second and third year students don't respond well to bomb games. All you need is the attached worksheet, a soju shot glass, a plastic cup, and some water. Pour a decent amount of water into the plastic cup. Float the shot glass on top of the water. The teams take turns rolling the dice, making a sentence, and pouring water into the shot glass. The team that sinks the shot glass must stand up and do a chicken dance.

I guess most people are past this chapter, but here's my second part of the lesson. I like to fill the ten minutes between classes with some kind of interesting Youtube video, just to get the kids in earlier and to get them a little more behaved.
Here is the lesson plan order.
1. Song (One Direction's One Thing) (5 minutes)
2. Tongue Twister Activity (5 minutes)
3. Power Point (10 minutes)
4. Paper ( 10 minutes)
5. English Betting (15 minutes)
With the betting bit, you'll have to insert your name into the slides, since they are guessing  my opinion on a variety of subjects.
